- 5 new two-star Michelin Restaurants
- and just one, being award the ultimate accolade – 3 Michelin stars
Michelin first introduced their star system in 1926 and over the years expanded their awards from a single star to three stars. With a single star denoting “a very good restaurant”, two stars meaning “excellent cooking that is worth a detour”, and three stars meaning “exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey”.
