Our client is looking for a Catering Manager for a Temp to Perm assignment.
(Previous Catering Manager experience is a must) – This is a customer facing retail operation with occasional Children’s Birthday Parties and Cooking Workshops.
As a Catering Manager you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –
- Professional Chef / Kitchen Management
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full understanding of dietary & allergen requirements.
- Full knowledge of food safety, food preparation and handling.
- Level 2 or equivalent in cookery and basic food hygiene. (certificates.)
- Experience of working in a team.
You will be responsible for and be involved in the following: –
- Carrying out Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.
- Following menu specification.
- Maintaining the quality of the food produced.
- Ensuring you work within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines and Legal documents are completed.
- Ordering and liaising with suppliers
- Menu planning and recipe development
- Managing to cost of the unit to reach budget targets through weekly financial reports
- Stock and wastage control
- Staff training & appraisal
A driving licence is essential as work may need to be completed at other sites within the Local Authority.
