A Junior Sous Pastry Chef is required for a permanent contract working 45 hours a week on straight shifts in the Salford area of Manchester.
The Head Chef is looking for a Pastry Chef that has a background in 1 or 2 Rosettes, to take over the pastry team and be part of a calm professional team. This role is a long-term position requiring commitment and dedication from the successful applicant.
This could be a golden opportunity for an experienced pastry chef de parti to take their first step into a senior pastry position with responsibility. You will have input in creating menus and planning the pastry section working along side the Exec and Head Chefs who have a wealth of experience to learn from.
You will be working straight shift finishing around 8 pm most nights with the odd 9 pm each week, some nights you will finish as early as 7 pm!

As the Junior sous you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –
– Professional Chef experience preferably in a high end or Rosette kitchen
– Creativity and ideas towards the industry
– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous
– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.
Th is Pastry Chef role will be responsible for and involved in the following: –
– Carrying out the Junior Pastry Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.
– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.
– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.
– Creative Input on the menus with own outstanding ideas
