We're recruiting for a Junior Second Chef to join a small, busy brigade covering  dining, functions, buffets and seasonal events.

This is a key position within the kitchen structure, working directly below the Head Chef and Second Chef. It's not simply a Chef role — we need someone capable of taking responsibility, leading other chefs and independently running functions once settled in.

Responsibilities as Junior Second Chef

• Supervise and direct up to 3 chefs
• Take ownership of functions once settled in — planning prep, organising the team, allocating jobs, managing dietary and allergen requirements, controlling timings and running service
• Support and work directly below the Head Chef and Second Chef
• Maintain food hygiene, allergen and kitchen standards
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house teams
• Deliver consistent standards across high-volume services

What We're Looking For

• An existing Junior Second Chef looking for a new position, or a strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step into management
• Experience in hotels, event venues, busy gastropubs, resorts or similar multi-function operations
• Comfortable with volume catering as well as normal restaurant service
• Able to independently organise, delegate and run functions
• Calm, reliable and able to take responsibility without constant supervision
• Ambitious to progress toward a full Second Chef position
