What is a general assistant / hospitality?
- A general assistant is a multi skilled hospitality operative. Someone who can deliver great hospitality service in both a front of house and back of house environment.
Basic Front of house duties may include:
- Assisting with the preparation of and the serving of all meals and beverages to customers, ensuring great customer service at all times
- Taking orders and serving both food & drink.
- Clearing tables and maintaining the restaurant, café or canteen in line with company ‘best practice’ and current Health & Safety legislation.
Basic Back of house duties include:
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Collect and wash glassware and crockery
- Ensure hospitality rooms are left tidy
