Responsibilities of Head Chef
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team
- Plan menus and daily specials with a focus on quality, consistency, and profitability
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety (HACCP)
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Control food costs and reduce waste
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy services
- Uphold and develop the pub’s food reputation
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef
- Must have an understanding if classical French cookery
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Calm under pressure in a busy service environment
- Good understanding of GP margins, stock control, and kitchen admin
