Head Chef for Weddings and Events

£40,000 – £45,000 DOE | Full Time

We're recruiting on behalf of a busy events and wedding caterer, for a Head Chef to work alongside their existing Head Chef and help deliver high-volume events to a consistently high standard.

This is a genuinely varied, hands-on role. You'll be in the production unit leading prep, then out on site at weddings and events, leading the team on the day and making sure everything goes out as it should.

Responsibilities as Head Chef

• Support the Head Chef in running the kitchen and delivering events
• Lead prep and production in the unit ahead of each event
• Travel to weddings and events and lead the kitchen team on the day
• Run high-volume service calmly and to time
• Manage, direct and develop the chefs and kitchen team
• Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across every event
• Ensure food hygiene, allergen and safety standards are upheld
• Work closely with the wider events team to deliver each client's brief

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
• Background in events, wedding or large-scale catering, or other high-volume operations
• Confident leading a team both in the unit and on site
• Adaptable and able to work across different venues and set-ups
• Calm, organised and reliable under pressure
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and allergens
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Flexible with evenings and weekends
