Hotel Finance Manager job in Port Appin, Job Overview:
This is a hands-on Hotel Finance Manager role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the hotel, restaurant and café. You’ll take the lead on the key accounting and financial controls across the business, including payroll preparation, banking, reconciliations, cash flow and month-end reporting.
Working closely with the General Manager, Company Finance Director and Heads of Department, you’ll play an active role in the operation, helping to control labour, purchasing and departmental costs, providing accurate financial information and highlighting areas requiring attention. You’ll need to be comfortable questioning figures, investigating discrepancies and helping operational managers understand the financial impact of their decisions.
You will be supported by a part-time bookkeeper who will assist with the more administrative elements of the finance function, including data entry and day-to-day liaison with departments. This allows the Hotel Finance Manager to focus on driving the financial processes of the business, maintaining strong controls and supporting management with commercially useful information.
This position would suit an experienced hospitality finance professional who enjoys being close to the operation and can combine strong accounting knowledge with a practical, commercially focused approach.
