£45,000 – £48,000 Salary Broadway, Cotswolds | Full-Time | Independent Restaurant
We're recruiting on behalf of an exciting brand-new restaurant opening in the heart of Broadway and are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help launch and establish what promises to become one of the area's most exciting food destinations.
This is a rare opportunity to join from day one, working alongside the Head Chef to build the kitchen team, establish standards, and create a menu that will put the restaurant firmly on the map.
With a relatively small number of covers, the emphasis is firmly on quality over quantity, giving the kitchen the opportunity to focus on exceptional ingredients, consistency, and delivering memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities as Sous Chef
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead service and manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
- Prepare and deliver consistently high-quality dishes
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and food cost management
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Help build a positive, professional kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Sous Chef or an exceptional Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Strong background in fresh food restaurants
- Passion for quality ingredients and beautifully presented food
- Calm, hands-on leadership style with excellent organisational skills
- Experience training and motivating kitchen teams
- Someone excited by the opportunity to help launch a brand-new restaurant
