We’re recruiting on behalf of a beautiful hotel and events venue near Chippenham for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys a mixture of restaurant service, weddings, and events, while leading a team and maintaining high standards across all areas of the kitchen. The venue hosts regular weddings and functions alongside its day-to-day food offering, providing plenty of variety throughout the year.

Responsibilities as Head Chef

• Lead and develop the kitchen team across restaurant and event operations
• Deliver high-quality food for weddings, events, and daily service
• Manage stock control, ordering, and food costings
• Maintain food safety and kitchen compliance standards
• Train and mentor junior chefs
• Ensure consistency, presentation, and guest satisfaction at all times
• Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless events and service

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
• Background in hotels, weddings, events, or fresh food hospitality
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good understanding of stock control, GP management, and kitchen operations
• Passion for quality food and guest experience
• Ability to perform under pressure during busy functions and events
