A Sous Chef is required for a luxury high end wedding venue near the Coventry/Tamworth area. This property is looking for a Sous Chef who has a background in volume and perhaps hotels or fresh food gastro pubs. As a Sous Chef you will work under a Head Chef and have a couple Chef de Parties underneath you.

This role is ideal for any Sous Chefs who are looking for a better work life balance as simply this place is for weddings and weddings only. If there are no weddings, then there is days off. Of course in the Summer there will be more weddings but you will still get your 2 days off. Come the winter don’t be surprised to get 3 or 4 days off as there is maybe just one wedding in the colder months per week. Usually the format is the day before a wedding is simple a prep day. As a company they do not open for Christmas Day and Boxing Day so you will have that off – they do not take bookings on these days.

To add to this the Sous Chef and the team will work straights shifts only and will be rewarded with a salary of £26,000 – £27,000 plus 5% bonus plus some other incentives which is a Christmas Bonus. This is not a standalone property this is part of a company that has a stunning portfolio of venues through the UK and offers its chefs a lot of progression with around 4 new venues per year opening.

The Head Chef plans he rota very well where if you send the evening buffet etc one wedding you wont the next time which means going home early.
