An experienced Sous Chef is required for this busy 2 rosette boutique hotel and restaurant.

As sous chef you will be expected to back up the chef, cover sections on chefs days off and run the kitchen in the chefs absence.

The restaurant closes Sunday night in the winter but open 7 days a week during the summer months. There are two kitchens the main kitchen and an alfresco kitchen in the garden with a clay pizza oven and char coal grill.

This restaurant has all the latest equipment in its kitchen and uses only the finest local ingredients specialising in all the latest styles and techniques.

If you have had 5 years or more experience within a 2 or 3 rosette property this is the ideal position for you to promote your career to the next level.

There is no live in but there is plenty of local accommodation to be found with which the hotel is willing to help with.

As the sous Chef you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

– Professional Chef experience within a 2 rosette hotel back ground

– Creativity and ideas towards the industry

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

The Sous Chef role will be responsible for and involved in the following: –

– Carrying out the Sous Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.

– Creative Input on the menus with own outstanding ideas
