Sous Chef (Maternity Cover) – Central London – £40,000

We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join a busy, high-performing kitchen operation in Central London on a maternity cover contract, with the potential opportunity to move into a permanent role after 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large-scale, fresh-food environment serving up to 3,000 guests daily, alongside a thriving hospitality and events operation. With breakfast, lunch and evening services, quality and consistency are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team, maintaining exceptional food standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a fast-paced environment.

• A passionate and motivated Sous Chef with a stable employment background
• Genuine enthusiasm for fresh food and hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to consistently delivering exceptional standards
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a high-volume kitchen

Working Hours

5 days out of 7 on a rota basis:   07:00 – 15:30 or 11:30 – 20:00
