We’re currently seeking a skilled and dependable Sous Chef to join the catering team at our private hospital.

As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors—ensuring excellent standards of food safety, presentation, and dietary compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in overseeing the daily kitchen operation
- Prepare and present meals that meet medical, dietary, and cultural requirements
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Help plan menus in line with nutritional guidelines and patient needs
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie in a high-volume or healthcare setting
- Understanding of dietary requirements, allergens, and special diets
- Strong leadership and time management skills
- Commitment to hygiene, safety, and operational standards
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent preferred, in house training will be given
- A team player with a calm and compassionate approach
