Responsibilities of Sous chef
- Supporting the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
- Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials
- Managing stock, ordering, and controlling food costs
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Training and mentoring junior chefs
About you
- Previous experience as a Sous chef or strong junior sous chef ready to step up
- A passion for producing exceptional food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- A positive attitude and a hands-on approach
