Sous Chef- Gastro Pub – live in available – Up to £28,000 – Cash Tips South East

An experienced 1 rosette level Sous Chef is required for a newly refurbished gastro pub using fresh local produce.

As Sous Chef you will be managing the kitchen in the chefs absence, covering all sections in the kitchen on the other chefs days off and assisting the head chef on a daily basis with rostering, ordering, menu creation, kitchen management and of course HACCAP

All the ingredients are from a wealth of local suppliers with as much as possible made on site. You will be primarily working split shifts during the week and straights at the weekend. There are tips which are divided amongst the staff regularly

This position would suit a professional well organised senior chef de partie looking to take the next step up in their career to sous chef level.

As the Sous Chef you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

– Professional Chef experience within a 1 rosette hotel back ground

– Creativity and ideas towards the industry

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

The Sous Chef role will be responsible for and involved in the following: –

– Carrying out the Sous Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.

– Creative Input on the menus with own outstanding ideas
