Our client is now recruiting for a Sous Chef to join their team at a City based venue. This could very suit a strong Chef de Partie looking for their first Sous Chef position but MUST have banqueting experience. Someone who is ready to take the next step, so possibly a strong CDP or Junior Sous looking for their first step up.

The Kitchen team is professional and very friendly with a great atmosphere throughout. The Sous Chef will have trained on all sections but also expected to know the basic paperwork and be able to demonstrate a passion for cooking. The menu changes daily so there is an opportunity for menu input.

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:
• Competently running the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence
• Preparing and cooking high quality food for a lunch service.
• Working with fresh produce and taking great pride in using local and sustainable produce.
• Taking a fresh and innovative approach to food; designing with not just taste buds but your eyes.

This is a full time role of 40 hours a week, mainly weekdays, although some evenings and weekends are required.
