The client, an exciting boutique Hotel in the Stroud region, is passionate about their AA Rosettes and working on achieving even more. They’re seeking a Sous Chef, Junior Sous or even a Senior CDP to step into the Sous Chef role within this relaxed, passionate brigade.
The hotel primarily targets leisure guests, with boutique packages and intimate parties and gatherings. They only do a handful of weddings every year, and generally they’re smaller 20-50 pax type affairs, so the focus here is on excellent food and service, not high volumes, this keeps the staff hours down to an acceptable level, while still producing creative and interesting cuisine.
You must be enthusiastic about working to drive the team forward and assist the Head Chef in creating fun and progressive food for their appreciative guests and diners. The kitchen like to invent and twist classical dishes into modern masterpieces.
Strong administrative training is helpful, but they can train you in this area of the role. You should be comfortable to run the service and manage the team on the Head Chefs day off.
