A Sous Chef is required for a permanent contract working within a well-run established large cooperate full service hotel. The Head Chef is looking for someone who is driven and has all round kitchen skills with the ability to work in corporate operation.

As Sous Chef, in addition to being immaculately presented, you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications to the role:-

  • Experience in a busy high end kitchen.
  • Butchery, Fish, Larder, A la Carte and banquet experience important.
  • 706/1 & 2 or NVQ/VRQ Level 1 & 2 qualifications.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Food Allergen Certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and lead a team of chefs.
  • Driving licence and own transport very helpful.

The Sous Chef role will be responsible for and involve the following:-

  • Ensuring that all food produced is consistent and to the very highest standards.
  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements are met with support from the Head chef.

In return for your Chef Skills and experience, the client is offering a salary of 24-26k pa. This is a great chance to earn a competitive salary while gaining further experience in high end catering operation.
