We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Senior Sous Chef to join our client’s team at a stunning events venue near Maidstone, Kent.

This fast-paced venue delivers an exceptional range of catering, including corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, hospitality functions and public catering outlets.

 

The Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the kitchen, driving standards, developing the team and delivering exceptional food across a diverse events operation.

• Support the Head Chef and take ownership of the kitchen when required
• Lead, manage and inspire the kitchen team
• Take a hands-on approach to service and preparation
• Ensure every dish is delivered to the highest standard
• Manage bespoke menus and special requests
• Liaise confidently with clients
• Contribute to menu development, tastings and presentations

 

Hours: 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7.

 

What We’re Looking For

• An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef with a stable, proven career history
• Experience in events and restaurant environments
• Strong leadership skills, with the confidence to manage a busy kitchen and team
• A positive, professional and approachable manner
• Excellent organisational skills and a strong understanding of event logistics
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Access to your own transport, which is essential due to the venue’s location
