Role Overview:
As a Restaurant and Bars Manager with our client, you’ll have excellent attention to detail, a creative and innovative mindset, and a vision to capitalize on sales opportunities. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct employees to ensure excellent customer service within the restaurant and bar areas.
  • Take charge of the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar, including breakfast, lunch, dinner service, room service, and catering for larger parties.
  • Maximize sales, profits, and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to audits conducted by the company to drive continuous improvement.
  • Control the food and beverage budget, considering occupancy, departmental expenses, and staff schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to all administration, cash control, stock control, and security procedures by yourself and your team members.
  • Recruit and train staff.
  • Plan rotas and holidays based on business levels and function requirements, ensuring consistently high standards of service during busy periods while managing wage costs during low-demand periods.
  • Foster a team environment that promotes good employee morale, commitment, engagement, and pride in the department and establishment.
  • Introduce and conduct regular checks to ensure all team members have the necessary requirements to successfully deliver excellent food and beverage service.

Starting Your Journey:

On your first day, you’ll embark on a structured 12-week learning journey designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel as a Restaurant and Bars Manager.

To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Has management-level experience in the food/bar service sector.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of restaurant and bar functions, including stock control, cellar management, restaurant operation, bar operation, and customer service.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and motivate a team of supervisors and assistants in delivering exceptional service.
  • Has previous experience in recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Has an excellent understanding of Licensing Law, Health Safety, and Allergen Legislation. Ideally, you are a Personal License holder or suitably qualified.
