A Junior Sous is required for a fresh gastro pub in near Henley in Arden working within a small kitchen brigade. The Head Chef has created a really fun and enjoyable working environment and is looking for a passionate Junior Sous who has character.

The Head Chef is looking for someone who is a chef not a cook as all the food here is made from scratch, carefully thought, prepared with care and delivered first class by the highly experienced front of house team. This is not a gastro pub – it’s a traditional country pub that is renowned for exceeding expectations. It has a famous reputation in the area and in the top 5 of trip adviser.

You will be working 45 hours a week with a selection of shift patterns. The Tip system is interesting where the more hours you work the more tips you get as it works out that you will get nearly £2.00 per hour. The salary is paying anything from £20,000 – £22,500 plus those tips which gives an extremely competitive package.

The company has recently brought another Pub and is looking to expand in the future so there is a tremendous amount of scope with this role.

As Junior Sous you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

– Professional Chef experience preferably in a high end or Rosette kitchen, but not essential as long as you have fresh food experience.

– Creativity and idea’s towards the industry

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous, but not essential.

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

The Junior Sous role will be responsible for and involved the following: –

– Carrying out Junior Sous duties in a professional and credible manner.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.

– If wanted, you could have an input on the menus with our own outstanding ideas
