A talented, enthusiastic and experienced Junior sous is needed to join a highly motivated and focused Kitchen brigade in Derby. The experienced Head chef is looking to add to the team as they continue to strive and deliver an outstanding fresh food dining experience.

This establishment is recognised as one of the most stylish and luxurious hotel in the area with a fine dining restaurant, busy bar, a beautiful conference and events facilities.

As Junior sous you will be a key part of the team and will support the Head chef in the day to day running of the kitchen as well as be responsible for stock taking, ordering, managing HACCAP and be involved in menu engineering and creation.

This role is located to areas such as Derby, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent.

As Junior Sous you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

-Proven experience in working in the Hotel environment at a similar level.

-Experience working with fine ingredients in a fine dining setting.

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.
