Responsibilities of Chef Manager 

• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
• Manage food ordering, stock control and budgets
• Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure all allergen and dietary requirements are managed correctly
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control
• Work closely with the school to deliver a high-quality catering service
• Train and support junior members of the team
• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and within budget

What we're looking for 

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Experience managing a kitchen and leading a team
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
• Passion for producing fresh, high-quality food
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A positive, hands-on approach to kitchen management
• Ideally, experience within education, contract catering or a similar environment
