My client is looking for a passionate, dedicated an honest General Manager for their rapidly expanding restaurant / bar group. You must be a BIG FOODIE, PASSIONATE ABOUT PEOPLE and a COCKTAIL ENTHUSIAST. I am looking for someone outstanding, who believes that the key to success is through people and that enhancing the customer’s experience with outstanding service is a must – every time!

 

Responsibilities include

 

  • Recruiting, training and motivating your staff
  • Doing regular stock-takes and ordering as necessary
  • Handling deliveries
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and food safety of the site
  • Overseeing and liaising with the kitchen
  • Keeping up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the authorities and taking overall legal responsibility for the premises
  • Enforcing health and safety rules
  • Adhering to budgets, increasing profits and managing cashflow
  • Overseeing the entire restaurant operations

 

General Manager Requirements

 

  • Restaurant management experience
  • Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles
  • Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts
  • Willingness to work during peak hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximise resources
  • Decisiveness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
