General Assistants & Catering assistants – Schools – flexible hours – weekly pay Worcestershire

We are looking for reliable members of staff to join our exciting and ever-growing Catering team at Jubilee Hospitality.

 

As a Catering or General assistant, you will work in a Primary or Secondary school where your role will be to work in a team and assist with preparation and service of meals whilst ensuring the kitchen area is always kept clean and tidy.

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Basic preparation of food and beverages (for example, vegetables and snacks).
• Transporting and serving of meals.
• Put away deliveries under the guidance of the Cook.
• Setting up and clearing away tables, chairs and equipment.
• Cleaning of the dining area, kitchen surfaces, cupboards, tables and equipment.
• Washing dishes, cutlery, containers, etc.

 

The ideal candidates:

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment would be preferred.
• An awareness of health, safety and security in the kitchen is preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to communicate well with young children.
• Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative.
• Ability to adapt to change and take on different tasks as and when required.
• A DBS check will be required.
