Are you a passionate and creative chef who loves cooking fresh, nutritious meals for children? We’re looking for a dedicated Nursery Chef to join our friendly early years team in Southeast London.

About the Role:

As our Nursery Chef, you’ll be responsible for planning and preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years. You’ll work closely with the nursery team to accommodate dietary needs and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks each day
  • Plan weekly menus in line with dietary requirements and allergies
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety (in line with Safer Food, Better Business)
  • Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets
  • Support the nursery’s ethos of healthy eating and sustainability

About You:

  • Experience working as a chef, cook, or kitchen manager (nursery, school, or similar setting desirable)
  • Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene certificate
  • Knowledge of food allergies and menu planning for young children
  • Reliable, organised, and passionate about children’s health and wellbeing

Benefits:

  • £28,000 per annum
  • 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
