A Commis Chef is required for a permanent contract working within a highly established brigade near Leamington. This is not a Care Home – this is a High End Retirement Home when residents pay thousands of pounds a year to stay there.

This is a 37.5 hour contract of straight shifts where they are paying anything between £16,500 and £17,500 for a Commis Chef which is a really decent salary. The food here is all fresh and high end and you will be doing covers of anything from 6 – 15 which is why the chefs really focus and concentrate on the food.

You will be working a mixture of either early or late – when on a late you will finish by 9pm which is really appealing. What’s really important here is your attitude in how as they can teach you everything you need to now – all they ask for is your full attention and hunger to learn.

All the food is fresh and locally sourced. Also as you will need to have a DBS where you usually have to pay for it – not here they will pay for that for you. This is a good opportunity for any chefs who want to go down this avenue of the industry.

As Commis Chef you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

– Professional Chef experience preferably in a high end or Rosette kitchen, but not essential as long as you have fresh food experience.

– Creativity and idea’s towards the industry

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

The Commis Chef role will be responsible for and involved the following: –

– Carrying out Commis Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.

– If wanted, you could have an input on the menus with our own outstanding ideas
