We’re recruiting for a new small  school looking for a passionate Chef Manager to take ownership of the kitchen and help shape the food service from the ground up.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a close-knit environment, takes pride in providing nutritious, high-quality food, and wants the chance to grow with the school as it develops.

Responsibilities of Chef Manager 

• Lead and manage the school kitchen
• Prepare fresh, nutritious and appealing meals
• Cater for the individual needs of the pupils
• Manage ordering, stock and food costs
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards
• Help develop menus and the overall food offering
• Build strong relationships with the school team
• Develop the kitchen and your responsibilities as the school expands

 

About you

 

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Passion for fresh, nutritious food
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Someone who is happy to be hands-on
• A caring and patient approach
• Experience within education, SEN, healthcare or similar settings would be advantageous
