Residential Care Home | Central Gloucester

Salary from £14.15 per hour plus enhanced weekend rates | 36.75 hours per week

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our friendly residential care home in Central Gloucester.

This role operates on a two-week rolling rota, working 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with shifts from 7:30am to 6:30pm.

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents and cover the Head Chef's days off, supported by a small kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for residents.
• Cater for dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Assist with stock control and ordering.
• Support and lead the kitchen team when required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef, Second Chef, Sous Chef or Cook.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards.
• A team player with a passion for quality food.
• Care home, healthcare, or catering experience desirable but not essential.
