Nursery Chef | E14 London | Up to £45k | Monday to Friday

 

We are currently recruiting for a passionate, friendly Chef to join an independent nursery based in E14, London.

 

Catering for children up to 4 years old, this welcoming nursery provides breakfast, lunch, tea, and morning and afternoon snacks. All food is freshly prepared and nutritionally balanced to support children’s energy levels, concentration, and immune health.

 

The role:

You will lead the nursery kitchen, working alongside a Kitchen Assistant to provide nutritious, varied, and exciting meals for children and staff.

• Prepare fresh, healthy meals for children aged 3 months to 4 years, as well as staff
• Order food, check supplies, and manage kitchen stock
• Create and test new, exciting recipes
• Maintain high standards of kitchen and food hygiene
• Work effectively within budget

 

What we are looking for:

• A passionate and enthusiastic Head Chef or Chef Manager
• Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with a Kitchen Assistant
• A genuine passion for cooking for children and promoting good nutrition
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Food Service
• Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
• Good communication skills, with confidence engaging with children, parents, and staff
• Strong organisational skills
