Chef de Partie – Hotel Kitchen

Reading | £14.50 per hour (£30,000 approx.) | 40 hours per week | Straight shifts | Immediate start

 

We are working with a well-established hotel in Reading who are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join their small, professional kitchen brigade.

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will take ownership of your own section and play an important role in delivering a consistent standard of food across lunch and dinner service.

• £30,000 approx. annual salary based on 40 hours
• 40-hour working week
• Straight shifts only
• No split shifts
• No double shifts

 

Responsibilities of Chef de Partie

• Take full ownership of your designated section during service
• Prepare and cook dishes consistently to the standards set by the Head Chef and Sous Chef
• Complete all mise en place and ensure your section is fully prepared for service
• Maintain excellent standards of food presentation and quality
• Manage stock levels, rotation and storage within your section
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and allergen procedures

 

About you

• An established Chef de Partie with a proven track record in quality hotel or restaurant kitchens
• Able to run a section independently and calmly under pressure
• Strong understanding of food safety legislation and allergen compliance
• Demonstrable longevity and reliability in previous positions
• Based in Reading or within comfortable commuting distance
• Available to start immediately and to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
