Our client is looking for an Education Catering Area Manager for a Temporary period of 3-6 months to cover Maternity leave.
(Previous experience in School Catering Multi Site Operations is a must)
As an Area Manager you will have skills in the following areas: –
- Previous experience in Education Catering Multi Site Operation
- Staff Training and motivation
- Budget & Finance Management
- Marketing to increase revenue
- Professional communication with Clients
- Service Development
- Cashless Payment Systems
- Allergen Awareness
- Menu development in line with ‘School Food Guidelines’
- Recruitment
- HR Policies and Procedures
You will be responsible for and be involved in the following: –
- Management of Unit Catering Managers and Catering Staff in approx. 16 School Sites
- Recruitment and Selection
- Appraisal and Disciplinary of direct reports
- Payroll
- Executing HR Policies and Procedures
- Communication with Head Teachers and Bursars

- Budget Management
- Reviewing and developing the service
- Maintain H&S, Food Safety, COSHH and Pest Control and Risk Assessment standards
- Facilitate special catering requirements such as event days & promotions
- Marketing the service to increase revenue
- Menu Development in line with the ‘School Food Guidelines’
As the role is to manage multiple sites, a driving licence is essential.
