Chef Manager – Term Time Only

Chef Manager – Independent School | TW9, London | £40,000 | Term-Time Only (38 weeks)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead the catering operation at a lovely school with a welcoming ethos and a supportive leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a well-established catering operation in a brand-new kitchen, featuring modern equipment, excellent facilities and established systems. You'll also benefit from a fully trained front-of-house team, allowing you to focus on delivering a high-quality food service.

 

The Role

• Manage and lead a small team of four
• Oversee the daily catering operation, providing freshly prepared, high-quality meals.
• Cater for approximately 320 people daily
• Manage menu planning, ordering, stock control, budgets and food costs.
• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service.
• Motivate and develop your team, creating a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

 

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef.
• Ideally, a background in school or education catering.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• A passion for fresh food and delivering an excellent catering service.
• Good knowledge of food safety, stock control and kitchen management.
• Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive school community.

 

Salary & Working Hours

• Salary: £40,000
• Contract: Term time only (38 working weeks)
• Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Shifts: 6:30am–3:00pm or 7:00am–3:30pm.
