Catering General Manager – Fixed-Term Contract | Stroud, Gloucestershire

£40,000 per annum (pro rata) | 6-month FTC | Mainly Monday – Friday
 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Catering General Manager to lead a high-quality catering operation, with a strong focus on fresh, seasonal food and delivering an exceptional service experience.

 

What the role involves

• Overseeing the catering and culinary operation across the site, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and service
• Leading, developing and training a team of 12
• Working closely with the Head Chef on menu planning, inventory management, cost control and customer satisfaction
• Monitoring standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Taking a hands-on approach, including supporting the kitchen team when required
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety and other relevant regulations
• Managing budgets and supporting the financial performance of the operation

 

What we are looking for

• An experienced Catering General Manager, ideally from a hotel or similar high-quality hospitality environment
• A strong and confident leader with proven experience managing, training and developing a sizeable team
• Excellent customer-facing skills, with confidence engaging with key stakeholders
• A proven track record of maintaining and continually improving standards
• A genuine passion for food, strong culinary knowledge and a keen eye for detail
• Good financial and budget awareness
• A strong understanding of compliance, including food safety and health and safety
• An approachable manner with a positive, can-do attitude
