Catering Manager – B&I | EC2 London | Monday to Friday | £44,000

 

We are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Catering Manager to lead a busy, high-quality corporate food and beverage operation in the heart of the City of London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for service, strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of leading successful teams and delivering high standards.

 

The Role

As Catering Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day retail catering operation, with a strong focus on customer experience, operational excellence and commercial performance.

You will:

• Lead the day-to-day retail food and beverage operation including the coffee offer, ensuring consistently high standards across every service
• Create a welcoming and engaging environment, delivering an exceptional customer experience
• Lead, motivate and develop an established front-of-house team
• Ensure counters, displays and service areas are presented to an exceptional standard
• Monitor sales, labour, wastage, stock and overall operational performance
• Manage reporting, forecasting, financial information and key performance data
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food quality and presentation remain consistently high
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers and the wider site team
• Identify sales opportunities, enhance the customer journey and develop the retail offer
• Continuously drive improvements across the operation, introducing new ideas and initiatives where appropriate

 

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an energetic, confident and commercially minded hospitality professional who is passionate about people, service and delivering consistently high standards.

You will ideally have:

• Previous management experience within premium contract catering, workplace dining or similar
• Excellent commercial awareness and confidence managing sales, labour, budgets and performance figures
• Strong knowledge of coffee and barista standards
• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing a team
• Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a fast-paced operation effectively
• An eye for detail and presentation
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
