Head Chef – £40,000

We’re looking for an experiencedHead Chef to take charge of a busy café operation, offering a fantastic £40,000 salary and a much better work-life balance than a traditional restaurant kitchen.

The food operation is predominantly frozen and prepared for service, meaning this role is less about complicated cooking and extensive preparation and more about running an organised kitchen, maintaining standards and leading the team effectively.

Benefits of Head Chef

• Salary of up to £40,000
• 40 hours per week.
• Daytime Hours Only, 5 days out of 7 (weekends included, rotated fairly)
• 28 days paid annual leave

Responsibilities of Head Chef

• Prepare and cook menu items consistently to company standards
• Manage and maintain the kitchen section.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are maintained at all times.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.

About you

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous chef ready for the next step.
• Experience in café, brunch, breakfast, or branded restaurant and pubs 
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
