We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Sous Chef to join a high-volume contract catering operation.
It’s a fast-paced kitchen with plenty of challenges, serving up to 2,000 people per day. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong kitchen leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency.
Benefits of Sous Chef
- Competitive salary of £37,000 – £39,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Monday to Friday – daytime only – 0700 – 1530

Responsibilities of Sous Chef
- Support the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations
- Lead, train, and motivate a large brigade in a high-volume setting
- Ensure consistent delivery of fresh, high-quality food at scale
- Maintain strict food safety, allergen, and HACCP compliance
About you
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in contract catering or large-scale hospitality
- Experience serving high volumes (1,000+ covers daily preferred)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure
