Head of Sales (Wedding & Events) job in Suffolk, Highlights:

  • Full time, permanent position,
  • Base salary of £40,000 – £45,000 plus an attractive, uncapped performance bonus scheme.

Head of Sales (Wedding & Events) job in Suffolk, Role Overview:

  • Maximise Yield & Conversion. Champion premium products, experiences and exclusive-use opportunities, ensuring every enquiry is strategically qualified, priced and converted to maximise value, margin and guest experience.
  • Lead, Manage & Motivate the Sales Team. Take full ownership of sales team performance, coaching and accountability. You will run regular, focused sales meetings, embed high standards, sharpen consultative selling skills and create a culture where targets are clearly owned and consistently delivered.
  • Own the Pipeline, Prediction Sheet & Forecasting. Maintain absolute ownership of the sales pipeline and prediction sheet, ensuring it is live, accurate and credible at all times. You will drive pipeline discipline, stage accuracy and probability weighting to produce reliable forecasts.
  • Proactively Drive New Business. Actively source, shape and convert new opportunities through relationship-led selling, partnerships, outbound outreach and structured pipeline development.
  • Deliver Accurate Reporting & Commercial Insight. Provide clear, timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership, translating CRM and PMS data into meaningful insight, actions and decisions.
  • Work Cross-Functionally. Collaborate closely with operations, marketing and leadership teams to ensure what is sold is deliverable, profitable and aligned with brand standards across both venues.

 

Head of Sales (Wedding & Events) job in Suffolk, Candidate Criteria:

  • Simply put, we’re looking for a Sales Leader, not just a venue seller. Someone with proven success in consultative, target driven sales environments. Strong team leadership and performance management experience. A confident, commercial mindset with the ability to influence, negotiate and close. High levels of ownership, accountability and drive; taking responsibility for outcomes, not just activity.
  • Experience in Weddings & Events in a similar environment is essential.
