Head Chef Catering Role for a School West Midlands

A Catering Manager is required for a permanent contract based in Birmingham working for a fresh food concept operation with in a contract catering site. The operation is a new opening and is looking for someone who is driven and has all round kitchen skills and the ability to run a talented kitchen team to help the catering offering.

This is a great role with a competitive salary for an energetic chef looking for the next step or for a current head chef looking for a new challenge in contract catering. As head chef you will be responsible to develop all menus and food offering and the running of all kitchen aspects. You will be working for an independent food establishment with other outlets with opportunity to develop.

 

As Catering Manager, in addition to being immaculately presented, you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications to the role:-

• Experience in a busy high end kitchen.
• Butchery, Fish, Larder, A la Carte and banquet experience important.
• 706/1 & 2 or NVQ/VRQ Level 1 & 2 qualifications.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Food Allergen Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and lead a team of chefs.
• Driving licence and own transport very helpful but not vital.

The Catering Manager role will be responsible for and involve the following:-

• Ensuring that all food produced is consistent and to the very highest standards.
• Ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements are met and complied with

In return for your Chef skills and experience, the client is offering a salary of 26-28k pa. This is a great chance to earn a competitive salary while gaining further experience in a fresh food concept.
