A Junior Sous is required for a permanent contract working within a highly established kitchen near Kidderminster. The Head Chef is looking for someone who he can rely on and is on the same wave length when it comes to what he wants.

What he wants is someone who lives and breathes class food – the brasserie is pushing for more awards so experience in high end food would be preferred.

No need to worry about anything else than service – no conference and banqueting and certainly no weddings.

The Head Chef is offering a decent salary of £21,000 – £23,000 for the right person. As a Junior Sous you will have a Head Chef above you and 5 junior members of staff beneath so there is loads of support.

The hours here will be between 40 – 50 no more than 50 and certainly not 60 hours!

As Junior Sous you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –

– Professional Chef experience preferably in a high end or Rosette kitchen, but not essential as long as you have fresh food experience.

– Creativity and idea’s towards the industry

– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous

– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.

The Junior Sous role will be responsible for and involved the following: –

– Carrying out Junior Sous duties in a professional and credible manner.

– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.

– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.

– If wanted, you could have an input on the menus with our own outstanding ideas
