An experienced Pastry Chef is required for a luxury stunning country house hotel with an amazing kitchen garden. The working week is approx. 50 hours working straight shifts on a 12 to finish basis.
As Head pastry chef you will be responsible for all desserts for the 2 AA rosette main dining, conference and banqueting and course all afternoon teas. Everything is prepared on site and you have a chance to design and create new dishes plus write menus alongside the head chef.
There is a kitchen garden where in the summer all the berries, rhubarb and a great range of edible flowers are available for your use and all the products in the kitchen are sourced locally.
This is the perfect opportunity for a pastry chef wanting to work in a high end well equipped professional kitchen.

Salary: Up to £23,000
Five out of seven
Primarily straight shifts doing 12 to finish
Tips worth up to £1,400 shared out 3 times a year

As the Head Pastry Chef you will offer the following experience, skills and qualifications: –
– Professional Chef experience within a 2 rosette hotel back ground
– Creativity and ideas towards the industry
– Driving licence and own transport would be advantageous
– Passion and determination is a key characteristic for this role.
The Head Pastry Chef role will be responsible for and involved in the following: –
– Carrying out Head Pastry Chef duties in a professional and credible manner.
– Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the food produced.
– Ensuring the kitchen functions within relevant hygiene, health & safety guidelines.
– Creative Input on the menus with own outstanding ideas
