Steve comes with over 20 years worth of hospitality experience and specialises in the supply of temporary chefs and everything to do with pubs and restaurants north of Birmingham
I have been in hospitality for 22 years and it has developed me as a person on many levels. I have managed over 200 staff and have spent the last 10 years creating a brand of pubs.
I have done every aspect of the job from Kitchen Porter to Operations Manager, meeting customers and dealing with suppliers. Taking a single site company to expanding into a multi-site business and a multi-million pound success.
At the start of my career and for the next 18 years I was in the kitchens every day and doing what I loved to do. I enjoyed leading a team of chefs through each and every service to teaching new chefs who would enter the kitchen in fresh pressed whites and brand new shiny shoes, straight from college.
Looking back to those guys now and seeing where they have taken their career is a real honour. Even some of which are even out working as candidates for Jubilee and doing great at representing what we expect from our chefs.
After deciding to step away from the industry, I decided to look for a new career that would enable me to enjoy a better work life balance.
I have been using Jubilee as a Client for many years and I was very familiar with the quality of the business set up that Jubilee had. I had a conversation with Nick the owner and he offered me the role within the company.
I could bring to him an area North of Birmingham that I have many connections in and have worked in and around for most of my career. This sounded perfect to me as it was going to keep me in touch with the industry that I have lived and breathed for the last 22 years.
Speaking to pubs, restaurants and even the chefs really sounded like a great opportunity for me to restart in a new career.
I now work for Jubilee and I enjoy the role very much, I am now looking after the supply of temporary chefs and everything to do with pubs and restaurants North of Birmingham.
Interesting Fact
When I was starting out in my career I enjoyed doing chef competitions all around the country.
I managed to achieve several gold medals at the Hotel Olympia over the years and met some amazing people of our trade.
I even went on to mentor my younger brigade to go and achieve awards like I did and inspire them like I was with my peers
