Poppy began working in kitchens at 16 where her time as a KP lead her to fall in love with the industry. Progressing into an apprentice chef, Poppy could show off all her pastry experience that she had taught herself from a young age.
As much as she loved her time in the kitchen, Poppy’s charisma was best suited on the customer facing side to which she then landed at job at one Michlen starred, Adams, in Birmingham. Poppy excelled here finding a passion for a new side of food and wine.
Occasionally Poppy steps back into Adams when she feels her life is missing a little bit of fine dining service – still loving that feeling of a busy service.
Fun Fact: I once spent an evening doing a private dinner for my favourite actor, Steven Graham.
