Assistant General Manager – Progress to GM – Excellent Salary West Midlands

Seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager or a Manager looking for the next step in their career. As an assistant General Manager you will ensure the smooth running of the F&B operation within a unique and vibrant gastro pub environment that offers a quality choice of fresh food and drink.

Our client is part of an award-winning company, offering excellent benefits and career progression. Salary is between £24.000 and £28.000 p/a depending on experience plus 3k/4k tips.  As the Assistant General Manager, you will be a strong leader with a professional and approachable manner. This is a high-quality environment, so you will be expected to deliver on the equally high service standards.

 

As the Assistant General Manager you will be responsible for:

• Lead the team in either breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Open and closing procedures of the allocated shift.
• Staff training and appraisals.
• Report directly to the General Manager.
• Ensure there is a consistent high level of service, which goes beyond guests expectations.
• Daily reconciliation of the business, banking and other admin tasks for compliance to company financial audit requirements.
• Oversee departmental payroll and budget.
• Assess development needs and train staff accordingly.
• Keep the menu offering up to date and following current trends.
• Manage and rota staff according to business demands.
• Monitor cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensuring compliance with all fire, licensing and employment regulations.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

• An unwavering passion for food and drinks.
• Must have previous experience as a Manager for at least 1 year.
• Strong IT skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with PMS systems, Guest line would be an advantage but not essential.
• Work well under pressure in a high-volume environment.
