The full and final list of venues for the next years Commonwealth Games have been unveiled – promising a sharp up-tick in demand for hospitality sites not just in Birmingham and the surrounding districts – but also in Sandwell, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Cannock Chase and even London!

Here’s a run down…



Naturally, the host city will be centre stage with the Alexander Stadium hosting the athletics as well as the opening and closing ceremonies

Also within the second city will be…

  • National Arena – Gymnastics
  • Edgbaston Stadium – T20 Cricket
  • University of Birmingham – Squash and Hockey
  • Smithfield Market – Basketball, Beach Volleyball and the start of the Marathon
  • Victoria Square will see the finishing line of the Marathon

NEC, Solihull


Just east of the city, the massive facilities available at the NEC are hosting…

  • Badmington
  • Boxing
  • Table Tennis
  • Weightlifting
  • Netball

Also featuring are…

  • Sutton Park – the Triathlon
  • Sandwell Aquatics Centre – hosting the swimming and diving
  • Coventry Building Society Arena (formerly, The Ricoh) – Judo, Wrestling and the Rugby Sevens
  • Cannock Chase – Mountain Biking
  • Leamington Spa – Lawn bowls at Victoria Park
  • Warwick – Cycling Road Race (here’s the map)
  • Wolverhampton – Cycling Time Trials (here’s the map)
  • London – Track cycling is being held at the Lee Valley Velopark due to the lack of velodromes in the midlands

The games are taking place from the 28th July through to the 8th August 2022 – and our Birmingham Office, in particular, being right in the heart of events, cannot wait.
